Bàsquet: Futbol Club Barcelona-Reial Madrid

In the match of Regal Barça against Real Madrid that corresponds to the journey 15 of the regular league of ACB, they clashed two of the more important teams of Spain and which get the best results of the last seasons. In this article we specifically discuss the gamble which decided the match on the fourth quart. When there last 8 seconds of the match, Regal Barcelona has the possession of the ball and they had the chance to break the tie at 77. The coach of Barça called time out to calm his players and taught the last tactical instructions.
From the zone defense 2-3, Barça had to make an attack, or quickly attack with a triple shoot, or forcing the lack because Madrid had already on bonus. We can say the coach decanted to a triple shoot threw at the last second to ensure to go to the added time if they failed the shoot.
Madrid, as we have explained, was placed in zone, and following the orders of their coach, they didn’t do a personal lack, because it meant to give two free shoots to the rival and a guaranteed defeat because Barça tries to pass it from the sidelines to the best player on free shots.
The match ended with a tie to 77 because Barça failed the triple shoot.
From our point of view, Madrid realized a good defense because they pressed without force the lack but instead Barça didn’t take the situation of Madrid was in bonus, and tries to realize an entrance and forces a personal lack that probably would have lead to victory. On other hand the option of search a triple isn’t the most appropriated because the defense knows perfectly who is the best shooter of the rival team and because of this they knew which player would shoot. That’s the reason why the Barcelona attack would have used a play which had misplaced the rival defense and so scored or forced a lack.
